If you know me, or even read my “About” page, you know that I moved to Nashville, TN in early 2020. Yes, it’s a little cliche – I moved for a guy. But not just any guy. THE GUY.

I divorced in 2002 and in 2020, after 3 years of dating, decided to schlep my sexy butt to Tennessee to build a life with him. In seven short months we’ve endured the death of my sister, a tornado that decimated his office building, a derecho just three weeks after, and the global COVID pandemic. It certainly sounds like a lot when forced to write it.

Date nights were a breeze when I first arrived. Everything was new – every restaurant, bar and mall could be explored without the feeling of “been there done that”. Even day drives through the towns east of Nashville was an adventure. We attended a birthday party at Sinema Restaurant – a repurposed movie theater now restaurant and a wedding at Clementine – a historic, gorgeous brick church turned event venue. And then COVID shut down America.

Like millions of our fellow Americans, we were forced to stay home and cook, which thankfully we enjoy. We succeeded at discovering new recipes and wines we love while solving the world’s problems, all without finding a cure for COVID to no avail. I know you are shocked!

Now that restrictions have been lifted, here is a list of the date nights you can consider that will undoubtedly bring you closer to each other!

Date Night Ideas:

Explore the Botanical Gardens
Take Him on a Treasure Hunt
Cooking Classes
Dance Classes
Top Golf or a Full on Golf Game

xo,

Kristin

more about me

Lover of Peloton, brussel sprouts and prosecco (with a tiny splash of Pom), I ditched the stiletto heels and pencil skirts of corporate America for the business coach uniform of boyfriend jeans, wedges and cute t-shirts . One thing that remains constant is my love for flaunting my personality with bold statement jewelry pieces (and my penchant for always respectfully telling it like it is). I prefer coffee over tea, cake over pie and I rarely meet a bottle of wine I don't like. Are we destined to be besties? Hit the contact tab!

I'm Kristin, your new get-a-grip friend.
